Downhill only for daredevils? Modern bikes, well-built trails and lifts make getting started easier than ever. In Tyrol's best bike parks I show you how to get down the mountain safely and with a smile: position, braking, cornering. In group courses for kids from 10 and adults or in private training, from your first bike park day to the next level.

Which location suits you?
Especially for private courses, you decide where to go. Here you can see at a glance what each park is good for, from your first course to jump training.
- Innsbruck Mutters · Bikepark Innsbruck · Muttereralm, zone 1. My home mountain, where I learned to ride myself. Flow lines, practice area, short walks: perfect for a first course day.
- Innsbruck Bichl Trails · Trailcenter Rossau, zone 1. Innsbruck's inner-city trail centre: flow line, jump line and XC loop on 2.2 km, completely free, no lift ticket needed.
- Seefeld / Leutasch · Seefelder Plateau, zone 1. Gentle plateau trails, hardly any steep bits, plenty of room to practise. When kids and parents book together, this is usually my pick.
- Ehrwald · Bike Park Zugspitze · Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, zone 2. Roots, corners and the Zugspitze at your back. The lines are on the steep, demanding side, ideal for the next step.
- Lermoos · Bikepark Lermoos-Biberwier · Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, zone 2. Off the Grubigstein you get it all: technical bits, flowy sections, and a mountain hut stop you've earned after the course.
- Sölden · Bike Republic Sölden · Ötztal, zone 2. The Bike Republic is its own universe: lines for every level. This is where we drill berms until they stick.
- Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis · Bikepark Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis · Tiroler Oberland, zone 2. Huge trail network and the best kids area around. No coincidence most of my kids courses run here.
- Kitzbühel · Kitzbüheler Alpen, zone 3. Big names, modern trails. From Hahnenkamm to Bichlalm there's plenty here for advanced riders.
- Leogang · Epic Bikepark Leogang · Salzburger Land, zone 3. The classic, with World Cup history. Longest drive, biggest eyes, my favourite spot for jump and drop courses.
Course levels explained
Two age groups, three levels. Not because it sounds tidy, but so nobody waits and nobody chases.
Level 1 · First bike park day (Green)
You can ride a bike but have never been to a bike park? This is where you start.
What you bring: You can ride a bike and like being outside. Bike park or trail? Never so far.
What we work on: You learn the right position on the bike, controlled braking, riding while standing and your first cornering technique. Calm pace, easy terrain, no pressure.
What you can do after: You roll down green and blue runs with confidence, know what your bike is doing underneath you, and can keep practising on your own.
Level 2 · I can ride, but … (Red)
Blue trails are fine, but roots, steps and jumps slow you down? Then this one.
What you bring: You already ride green and blue trails. Root sections still slow you down, and jumps you only know from watching.
What we work on: You learn to ride corners actively, to clear roots and steps cleanly and to land your first jumps and drops in control.
What you can do after: You ride natural blue and red runs smoothly and safely, and land small jumps and drops in control.
Level 3 · I want to send it (Black)
Red and black trails? No problem. Now it's about speed, jumps and technique.
What you bring: You ride red and black trails confidently. Now you want more: faster, more style or racing.
What we work on: You learn to read lines on red and black runs, to jump bigger and cleaner and to ride dynamically at speed. We film, review together and work on the one detail holding you back.
What you can do after: You ride demanding runs with a plan instead of courage, jump bigger and cleaner, and know exactly what to work on next.
And in a private course?
There we work on your skills individually and at your pace: from the right position on the bike and riding your first trails safely, up to the ambitious racer or airtime junkie chasing their first backflip.

Hi, I'm Leon.
Grew up in the Ausserfern near Lermoos, 27 years old, downhilling and mountain biking for 11 years. Certified MTB guide, and over the years I've taught plenty of courses, from young to old. I live in Innsbruck with my girlfriend, and we're on the road with our bikes a lot: Tuscany, Catalonia, Liguria, France. Winter and summer.
What I've learned over the years: it's rarely about courage, almost always two or three basics. That's what we work on, no pressure and no phrases. If you ride a section at sunset that you walked in the morning, it was a good day.
FAQ
How does payment work?
You pay online at the time of booking via Stripe: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA or PayPal. Your spot is fixed immediately, and confirmation plus invoice arrive by e-mail right away. I never see your card details.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the course, no reasons needed, right from the link in your confirmation e-mail. The money comes back automatically via Stripe. After that I keep 50%, since the spot was held for you. Exception: if the weather turns or the trail is closed, I cancel and you get a full refund. My call, but always fair and in good time.
What if too few participants sign up?
From 3 people we ride, guaranteed. If the minimum is not reached 24 hours before the course, I cancel it: you get an e-mail and an automatic full refund. Usually we find another date that works.
Are lift tickets included?
No, you buy those directly at the lift. Every park has different fares and often you don't need a full day pass. Your confirmation e-mail tells you exactly what to get.
What equipment do I need?
A bike that brakes and holds together, plus a helmet, without those we don't start. I strongly recommend knee and back protectors; you can rent both at almost every location. Not sure your bike is up to it? Send me a photo, I'll tell you honestly.
